The Scrap Bin: End of September
The Scrap Bin
End of September
Ok - let's just get this out of the way. DID YOU TRY SOMETHING NEW THIS SEPTEMBER? Boy oh boy, I hope you did. I tried Jiu Jitsu. And beets for the very first time. They were one of those foods that I told people I didn't like even though I had never really tried it. Don't pretend like you haven't done that. You have. We all have.
Anyway, I hope you tried something new. And I hope you are proud of yourself for trying something new. Keep doing that. (Both the trying something new and the being proud of yourself).
As I'm sure you can imagine by my general temperament, I am excited for fall. If you see me in real life in the near future, I will probably bring up the weather. I'll either be thrilled that it's below 70 or complaining that it's not. I'm annoying that way.
I'll stop with the small talk because now is a good time to tell you that I have posted alllllllllllllll of the workshops to be hosted at Home Ec for the rest of the year! You can sign up RIGHT NOW! Come one, come all!

Next On Our Makes List: Been sort of resistance to the fanny pack trend, but I think I need one of these #fennelfannypacks. Especially this one by The Mindful Sewist.
Watching This: Watching the Emmy's really shines a giant light on the FOMO of missing out on the show that everyone and their mom has been talking about for months. Looking at you, Succession. Also, considering finally starting Ozark? Thoughts?
Listening to This: Mostly Christof Van Der Ven. So goooood.
Last Thing: Been all up in everyone's business on my personal instagram, but still wanting to talk about it here... Outdoor Voices models in their newest campaign. A varied mix of beautifully diverse women. And best of all, using models of all shapes and sizes is not the whole point of the campaign or even a minor talking point. Way to go, OV.
....It's almost like... seeing people that look like you in the clothes you are interested in buying may make you want to buy them more.... huh... what a novel thought!
Also, shoutout to two of my other favorite brands, Girlfriend and Lonely, for doing the same.
