Brave New(sletter) World. And hey - you should sign up for a class!
Hi! Welcome! We're all Here!
Our very first newsletter.
We're not reinventing the wheel here. My urge is to, yes, reinvent the wheel. To blow your mind with newsletter greatness so truly perfect that your little heart giggles when it comes it pops into your inbox, but I think that's been stopping me from sending this very first one. And, friend, we have business to attend to and as a young woman trying to launch a small business in 2019, we ain't got time for perfection. We are making the time for just simply jumping in and doing it. Pushing our elbows to our left and right and making the space to get started. Messiness and real humans welcomed.
Am I the first one to use a You've Got Mail gif in a newsletter? Hell no! And I surely won't be the last, but we love T Hanks. So let's not question it.
And beyond that, we've got SPRING CLASSES (!) to get you signed up for! Links for you to click! Calls to action that require action, you know?
Right! So. Spring Classes.
That's right. The time has finally come for you to be able to sign up for a class with Home Ec. Very exciting for me. Hopefully somewhat exciting for you, if you're interested in learning something new this spring!
Here's the short list of classes we'll be offering to kick things off:
Wednesdays from 6-8pm
April 17 - June 5
Intermediate Sewing for Adults
Saturdays from 10-12pm
April 20 - June 8
Mondays from 12:30-2:30pm
April 15 - June 3
Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm
April 18 - June 6
Thursday, April 18 from 6:30-8:30
Our workshops are all one-offs and our classes are going to be offered in bundles of 4, 6 or 8 weeks. But the bigger the bundle, the bigger the discount. Our classes will be held at Art + Soul Collective, whose website will also be housing our class postings as our Home Ec site is being lovingly built.
You really shouldn't still be here.
You should be signing up for a class.
But, ok fine... here's some extra lovin' for making it this far with me here <3
Next On Our Makes List: The Claudia Dress. Especially like the one @paper_moon_makes made.
Adding to Our Stash: V into this color of Duck Canvas, Blackbird. I see you.
Watching This: Shrill on Hulu. More Aidy Bryant, please. (and k, fine, maybe I already did watch two episodes this morning).
Listening to This: Am I about to out myself as a Pop Country fan? On our very first date? I guess so! Cause this Maren Morris Album, Girl, is a freakin BOP and I don't care who knows it.
Last Thing: We're also going to be offering a really fun BYOEmboridery Workshop in April. You'll be hearing more about that next week, but in case you just blew past it before, here's a lil sneaky link if you want to be first on the list.
Ok. Pushing send.
Love you.
